"The (Palm Beach County) school district annually trains approximately 375 staff in initial PCM procedures and re-certifies approximately 450 staff. In my 16 years as a PCM instructor, which includes 15 years in my current position, no students or staff have been injured implementing PCM procedures. I am very familiar with other restraint procedures; in fact I was a certified trainer in others. I do not think that any other crisis management programs are as safe, effective, or implemented with the individual's dignity in mind. PCM is a complete crisis management system in which the verbal de-escalation is as important as any physical interventions. PCMA staff are always available via telephone and e-mail to answer any of our questions or to provide assistance...It is without hesitation that I would recommend Professional Crisis Management to any school district or institute that has exceptional students with various degrees of dangerous behaviors."

"I have been providing behavioral services to a diverse array of disability groups for the past 25 years. I have been certified since 1989 and board certified since 2003. As a Behavior Analyst, I have a deep appreciation for the principles incorporated throughout PCM that have a teaching versus punitive basis. The focus is on building and maximizing relationships, preserving human dignity, and keeping individuals free from pain using the least restrictive procedures... The pro-active approaches are what sets it apart. There have been numerous times during application in various facilities when I have directly observed the behavior of individuals being shaped into more appropriate repertoires through the use of PCM procedures...Thank you PCMA. You have made a difficult job a whole lot easier."

"I just wanted to tell you how much the staff enjoyed taking (the BehaviorTools) course where I work. We have instructed 4 classes so far, and our staff has approached us to tell us that they learned a lot. When I first saw your class advertised, I was hoping to find a training tool that would really help direct care staff to deal more effectively with challenges they face each day at work. Your approach to teaching about coercion and alternative strategies was clear and respectfully presented to your audience in the DVD. The three basic tools were also presented very clearly and staff enjoyed the role play scenarios. We added some of our own role plays that were based on the clients we serve at our agency. Thanks again for taking the time and putting forth the effort to create such a wonderful teaching tool."

"This was an exceptional experience. The PCMA instructor trainer was thorough, precise, and captivating. I feel very prepared and very confident in implementing procedures. Two thumbs up! I would recommend PCMA to any organization who serves individuals with developmental disabilities and who display problem behaviors. PCM is the best program that I have experienced to serve the needs of our clients with dignity and respect."

"For 35 years, I have served as a consulting behavior analyst for schools, residential programs and hospitals. In 1991, I began recommending Professional Crisis Management. Programs reported many fewer client and staff injuries. In my opinion, PCM provides the most effective and humane procedures for avoiding and stabilizing crisis situations."

"The Guiding Principles really explain it all (Respect, Dignity, Choice, Least Restrictive Alternative, and Feedback). I truly promote them when teaching to other participants. It has helped me to show people positive ways to intervene and deal with crisis behaviors. Staff's feedback from the experience of using Professional Crisis Management is that it is valuable and positive."
